NUXOA Plesk Licensing
Introduction
The NUXOA Plesk Licensing module lets you resell Plesk licenses from NUXOA. It connects a Hostware product to your NUXOA reseller account: a license is ordered automatically when a customer buys the product, the customer sees the license data and can change the bound IP themselves, and the license is cancelled at NUXOA when the contract ends. Licenses you already have at NUXOA can be imported into Hostware.
Features
Through the NUXOA Plesk Licensing module you can do the following:
order a license when a customer buys the product
show the license name, key and bound IP in the customer dashboard, with a copy button for the key
let the customer change the bound IP themselves
see the live license status
cancel the license at NUXOA through the normal contract cancellation
import existing NUXOA licenses into Hostware
License types and add-ons (languages, Imunify, WordPress Toolkit, WordPress Builder) are loaded live from NUXOA pricing, so the product always offers what NUXOA currently sells. Every add-on has a "- None -" entry because add-ons are optional.
NUXOA provisions licenses asynchronously. A new license can stay in progress for a few minutes with no key yet; the key appears in the customer dashboard on its own once NUXOA has activated the license.
A few things are not supported: changing the license type or add-ons of an existing license, and locking a hosting (for example for non-payment) does not disable the Plesk license, because NUXOA has no suspend function for licenses.
Installation
You need a NUXOA reseller account with API access. Your customer ID and API key are shown in the NUXOA client area, and the account needs enough credit, because NUXOA rejects orders without it.
In the module configuration, open the Connection tab (
Verbindung) and enter your customer ID (Kundennummer) and API key (API-Schlüssel). Leave the API endpoint (API-Endpunkt) at its default unless NUXOA tells you otherwise.Run the connection test with
Verbindung überprüfen(Verify connection). It passes when NUXOA accepts your credentials.Create a product with the module and set its options: a license type and the server IP are required, the add-ons are optional. The server IP is filled automatically from the IP the customer enters when ordering.
To take over licenses you already have at NUXOA, use the hosting import. It lists all Plesk licenses of your NUXOA account and prefills license type and IP where NUXOA's data allows it.
One thing to know about ordering: the customer must enter a server IP during the order, because the license is bound to it. The IP can be changed afterwards in the customer dashboard under IP binding (IP-Bindung) with IP ändern (Change IP).
When a contract is cancelled, Hostware sends the cancellation to NUXOA on the cancellation date. Until that date you can still revoke the cancellation in Hostware; nothing has been sent to NUXOA yet. A cancellation at NUXOA itself cannot be undone, and NUXOA has its own notice period, so it may bill one more period.
