Dynamic categories

A core feature of hostware is dynamic sources. These allow you to load your products dynamically, e.g., from available servers from your reselling provider. Hostware synchronizes the product inventory in the background, so you no longer need to maintain the products manually.

Select source

To load a dynamic source, check the box in the category. The corresponding configuration options will then be displayed. You can load multiple sources (modules) in a category, which will be loaded together in the same category. You will have the option to configure each source individually later.

Grouping

hostware supports automatic product grouping. For example, if you have multiple identical dedicated servers in your inventory, it would be inconvenient to show the end customer three products: the unnecessary additional selection would only cause confusion.

Each source provides different properties that you can use to group products. Products with exactly the same properties are grouped together.

hostware then creates a parent product and a child product for each duplicate product. The inventory of the parent product is then actively regulated by the available child products.

We recommend activating the grouping together with the "hide unavailable products" option.

Source Settings

You can store templates for product descriptions for each selected source. You can use the properties displayed for this purpose. You can also configure an individual profit margin for each source, which hostware adds to the price.

If active, you can also specify the IPAM settings for each source.

Hints

Dynamic sources are synchronized every 5 minutes by hostware.

Editing products in the category is prohibited. Product details are continuously updated by hostware.
