After an update, my individual file/folder was deleted

Normally, hostware automatically recognizes new or changed files and leaves them in place during an update. This process however only works for directories and not individual files which were changed.

To be on the safe side, you should save the path to your file or directory under Settings -> Update -> Individual paths. Then it will not be overwritten in the future during a hostware update.
